Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive and competitive insurance programs for the company's real estate portfolios and corporate operations, including negotiating policy terms and conditions. Allocate premiums and prepare insurance budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Manage and report all liability and property-related claims with insurance carriers and external legal counsel; participate in claim review meetings and analyze claim reserves. Provide various departments with consultation and technical guidance on insurance and risk management matters. Conduct asset acquisition due diligence by identifying and assessing significant risk management and insurance issues, compiling underwriting data, and making appropriate recommendations. Negotiate and maintain strong relationships with insurers, brokers, claims counsel, and other service providers essential to the risk management program. Review contracts to evaluate risk-related provisions, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with insurance and risk management policies. Supervise and train the risk management administrator. Oversee the collection and review of insurance certificates from third parties to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Develop and implement risk management policies, training, and communication strategies to ensure compliance with legal and corporate governance requirements.
