Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for eVTOL aircraft, focusing on performance, weight, cost, and safety requirements.
Conduct detailed analysis of design submissions, including thermal management, stress analytics, and failure mode analysis, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Create detailed designs using CATIA and 3D tools to generate manufacturing drawings and support production improvements to enhance product reliability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems across all subsystems.
Interact and build relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners to source materials, define specifications, and ensure high-quality production processes and deliverables.
The job is located in San Francisco Bay Area, CA and is onsite.
Job Requirements:
3-5 years of experience designing products in the aerospace or automotive industry.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD, ideally CATIA, with experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings.
Experience designing composite structures, including laminate structures.
Knowledge of composite laminate structure design, lightweight materials, and manufacturing processes.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis, thermal management, and material selection.
Compensation Package:
Salary Proposal
$140,000 - $160,000 Per year.
