Job Description

Quality Test Engineer
Evaluate and plan work to mitigate risks in NTI and NPI programs. Work with design leaders to establish an initial first-pass test plan at the beginning of a program (review selection list to document leverage opportunities, VPD, and potential test load). Participate in or plan and host Simulation and Test Collaboration Workshops (STCW) early in programs, before DFMEA, to create a high-level Validation Plan. Communicate progress in Gateway Reviews, including System Readiness Summaries. Quality approval of FMEA/DVP&R with design managers focusing primarily on developing standard FMEAs. Creation of proactive reliability paths. Creation, updating, and socialization of standard work. Long-term project testing needs, including lab space, equipment, and personnel. Expert in myNPI issue meetings and problem resolution. Assistance in HALT planning, but without responsibility. APQP supervision. Provide technical guidance and capture lessons learned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) from an accredited curriculum. Desirable over 9 years of experience, with a mandatory 5 years of experience. Master's or Doctorate degrees may potentially reduce the required experience. Previous experience in product development (design, validation/testing, or analysis). Experience with electrical drive systems and/or components, focusing on induction motors, generators, and resistor grids. Experience with the structured process of FMEA & DVP&R. Experience with the NPI problem-solving process. Strong communication skills. Self-driven with strong technical leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams in complex tasks. Excellent analytical skills. Solid organization and facilitation skills.

Compensation Package:

Salary Proposal
US$ 50/h - US$ 61/h
